How To Apostille a Document for Adoption in Texas?

The green documents are “green” because I want to help you group them together in the sense that they will all be going together to get an “Apostille” from the Secretary of State in TX.

In order to get an Apostille a document in TX, you have to send them to the TX Secretary of State.   The address is:

TX Charges $10 per Apostille when the purpose is adoption. (up to $100 per child). 

Discount for Adoptions Only:    For adoptions only, the total fee cannot exceed $100, so for example if you send 12 documents at $10, the total will not be $120, but it is capped at $100. Furthermore the fee is $10 when the purpose is adoption (while usually $15 for other purposes). 

Please make sure that check is made out to “Texas Secretary of State” for the fees owed for the apostilles. 

Please include a pre-paid self addressed envelope for TX to return the apostilled docs to you.  (Please have a tracking number)
